BioHi, I'm 19 and have just started a new treatment program for my eating disorder. I thought it might be helpful to document my journey, and would really like to help others trying to overcome similar issues. I've been diagnosed with ED-NOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified). I also have depression and trichotillomania (compulsive hair pulling) ... I'd really like to hear from people with the latter especially. I don't know anyone else who does it, but I know there's people out there who do.
- This will be a fairly heavy (no pun intended) journal. It's mainly for other people with eating disorders and depression to read.
- If you're looking for a pro-ana or mia journal, this isn't it. I am not looking to fuel anyone's eating disorder. I will try to mention amounts of food and weight as little as possible, and I'd like anyone commenting to try and do the same.
- If something in this journal triggers you, please let me know and I'll take it down. I want this to be a safe place for people who are ready to take steps towards recovery.
